today my grandma was released from the hospital. i rushed down to the hospital wth my cousins in the morning. it's exactly three months since she was first warded so we were all excited. few times before, we thougt she was allright and could go home, but each time she would develop some mild fever and the doctors said her condition was not stable yet. we had joked that she was already 'kerasan' at the hospital and dint want to go home. today was rather frustrating initially, coz when we thought she was all ready to go, the doctors said they had to do one last test on her. so we had to wait few hours for the results before the final clearance from the doctors.
grandma was a bit restless initially when she got home. making her take her medicine was also a tough one. she has learnt all the tricks; clamping her mouth shut, covering it with her hands, turning away, keeping everything in her mouth and then spitting everything out later.. but we have also learnt to be creative, in coaxing her, and mixing the medicine with her favourtie food, like milo and honey.

and after this rather long hospitalisation experience, me think that nursing is truly an honourable profession. it takes a lot to tend to all the patients night and day. probably doctors too, but somehow, cant say much about the doctors.
